Chapter 814 - Godly Inheritances Everywhere

Chu Feng really wanted to charge back and ruthlessly beat the Little Daoist up. He was a little touched a moment ago when he heard the heart wrenching and lung splitting cries of his son from behind.

But in the end, he was wailing how about how Chu Feng hadn’t drawn up his will. He really wanted to beat this son of his to death!

A brilliant sheet of radiance spilled down and pulled Chu Feng in as two massive millstones sandwiched him in the middle.

Crack!

He heard the sound of his soul splitting open; it really was excruciatingly painful. This was the processes of his spirit being torn to pieces while he was still alive. It was equivalent to five horses splitting up into corpses.

He let out a shout as he couldn’t bear it anymore. His soul light surged in a flash and it was unbearable. He secretly complained about the hardships he was facing since he actually had to experience such awful suffering without the stone box by his side.

He realised that the stone box was more astonishing than he imagined. It could obstruct the reincarnation millstone made out of stone and although that so-called talisman paper was mysterious and powerful, it was still slightly lacking in maturity.

But he wasn’t overly worried. Those talisman paper patterns in his body were forcibly condensing his soul light together and resisting the crushing force of the millstone.

But the expressions on the faces of those from the outer realm changed. After they heard Chu Feng’s yell, there were no signs of struggle from over there; there was not a whisper to be heard from him anymore.

There was only the exudence of ancient vicissitudes from the revolving millstone and it was so all throughout time.

“Chu Feng, what’s happened to you?” shouted those on the outside.

Chu Feng already couldn’t managed all of these. His soul light sparkled as it regrouped after being crushed into pieces. His spiritual energy almost crumbled after the same thing happened tens of times.

This was the power of reincarnation and it was the might of the millstone too. Even if one was a gargantuan hero, they would be “re-formatted” when they came here as this place was going to obliterate a good deal of things in their soul light.

Chu Feng realised through experience that this almost had the same fuction as the stone millstone in the Radiant City of Light. Could there be a Reincarnation Road here too?

He secretly lamented how he was so blessed when he held the the stone box at that time because he held no fear for such obliterating force!

“Even deities of this world would be crushed! This millstone is extremely terrifying!”

At the same time, he gasped in surprise too. The origin of the Little Daoist’s talisman paper was frightening because it could actually be used for reincarnation. He wasn’t being formatted now nor had he lost his memory yet as he resisted this kind of formidable energy by borrowing the light of the talisman paper.

“World ranking powerhouses, multiple ancient imperial courts and the strongest sacred lands joined hands to attack that so-called number one forbidden area together. Someone only managed to bring out a black talisman paper when these orthodoxies were completely exterminated. As expected, it has a gargantuan background and a world-terrifying profound theory as well as a frightening embodiment.”

At the same time, Chu Feng noticed that there was nothing wrong with the Soul Bell. It shrunk to the size of a seed and was bobbing up and down in his soul light.

He had a premonition a long time ago that it would only be right if this was an ultra-extraordinary item too since it was from the stone box. Now, it was verified that things were as he had suspected them to be.

The so-called Deity Striking Whip that he had forcibly seized from the Deity Palace’s Luo Shirong had turned to fine power a long time ago and was no longer in existence.

Chu Feng secretly nodded as he knew what was going on.

After he had been crushed tens of times, his spiritual energy and soul light crumbled and reappeared before he finally passed through the millstone and appeared before a door of light.

Whoosh!

The door of light sucked him in and he disappeared from this world.

There was a faint golden colour to the door of light which was extremely gentle. The passage within it wasn’t that long; it resembled a vestibule.

Whoosh! Chu Feng rapidly broke away from this place and appeared in a space.

He arrived at an indescribable place. Was this a whole new world?

Chu Feng surveyed the scene from an elevated position. This world was a little misty and made his eyes fuzzy.

“This is... Yang qi?!” He was startled. This so-called mistiness wasn’t caused by mist, but rather it was from the wisps of hot light that was soaring from the ground; all of which was a large expanse of evaporating Yang qi.

Chu Feng felt as though his soul body was slightly burning here which made him frown before he sighed in his heart.

Just as what the Little Daoist said, it didn’t matter whether it was the Vicious Beast Plateau or the universe the Little Daoist was at because even if those places had very dense Yang qi, it was all relative.

At the very least, there was an even greater abundance of Yang qi here than on the Vicious Beast Plateau.

He made an associative connection with with the facts the Little Daoist talked about; these worlds were collectively known as the Yin Realm by the powerhouses from the Yang Realm. They practically didn’t consider the universes from this end to have anything to do with the Yang Realm; they were all netherworldly land.

“It seems like the Yang Realm is even more terrifying than I thought. Just how dense is the Yang qi over there? My prior self might have turned to ashes right away once I went over there!” Chu Feng surmised.

He reckoned the so-called the present Yang soul he had refined through endurance was only relative with regards to that of the Yang Realm!

The ground was dried up as far as his eye could see and not a single blade of grass grew on the earth. The scarlet ground was unmanned for millions upon billions of kilometers, but he didn’t see the so-called Reincarnation Road.

Gold light appeared in Chu Feng’s eyes before it condensed into two glaring golden symbols. Even without his physical body, he could still activate the Fiery Eyes and gaze extremely far into the distance to observe this world.

“Yes, there is a silver ball of light!” He discovered a unique target and flew over right away. He even hung the Soul Bell above his head to protect his body.

The target he discovered was more than fourty kilometers away and he got close to it in a short period of time. This was a pool of silver blood and in addition to that, there was a corpse there too.

To be exact, this was the an incomplete corpse. Only a small part of its head was left and there was less than a fourth of its body remaining. There was the scent of decay coming from the corpse and its surroundings was full of silver blood.

A deity!

Chu Feng’s heart pounded violently. He felt that it was very possible that this was a deity who died here and had a slightly tragic appearance.

That was because only deities could pass through the millstone with a certain rate of probability. Moreover, the silver blood that this incomplete corpse still had was still emitting an aura that made him have heart palpitations. It was very dangerous.

“But if this is a deity, it should be impossible for me to get close to it at my level no matter how slight his power is.” Chu Feng somewhat had his suspicions.

The evolutionary realm of a deity was extremely profound and Chu Feng had to look up to such a being hopefully at his present realm. Normally speaking, even if a deity had died, the inundation of blood was enough to cause the heavens to fall and to render the earth.

“Hmm? It’s already rotten?!”

He was flabbergasted. He was now in a soul light state yet he could actually smell a unique scent as though he had a physical body. There was... a foul stench and could be considered to bear the odor of something decaying.

Chu Feng clearly understood what was going on. He had once smelled the scent of the sacred medicines at the bloody mountain peaks surrounding the Vicious Beast Plateau. It now seemed as though some items of high grade could exhibit the “scent” of soul attributes.

“His corpse is already rotten so his energy plummeted. Even if this is a corpse of a god, it can’t pose as a threat to me.” Chu Feng circled once around this place in search of useful items.

This was the corpse of a god. If it really wanted to leave anything behind, there was no need to think more about it, it would definitely be extremely in defiance of the natural order.

Unfortunately, after the stone millstone crushed the deity, the deity’s body was smashed into pieces much less the self-protective weapon. Only a small half of the head was left and one could tell it belonged to a male.

“Is it worth the trouble?” Chu Feng lamented.

Once the gods on Vicious Beast Plateau entered their later years, there was no good ending for them. This person had fled as if his life depended on it and wanted to search for a technique that could solve this problem, yet he still died in the end and in an extremely tragic manner too.

Rather than doing so, wouldn’t it have been better if her killed himself on Vicious Beast Plateau?

Bzzt! Chu Feng tried to stretch a wisp of soul light forth to touch the silver blood on the ground. Yet in the end, a ball of grey mist wound around that wisp of soul light and the soul light rapidly disintegrated!

He sucked in a cold breath of air and rapidly retreated.

As expected, it was odd. After this deity died here, not only did his physical body emit the scent of decay, but so did his blood; it was very evident that abnormalities had appeared.

At present, this wasn’t a divine object, but rather it was a strange matter.

Chu Feng probed it out many times. Every time he did so, he would part with the weakest wisp of soul light, but the outcome was the same. Irrespective of whether it was that physical body or its blood, both contained dense grey mist that possessed intense corrosiveness that would spread upon contact.

“There were originally many Divinity Granules and there is even the possibility that they contained Ancestral Daoist matter. They once belonged to a deity who naturally was at an unimaginably high rank, but in his later years, he was like the deities from past dynasties who faced adversities. Abnormal changes occurred in himas a strange energy wound around his divinity and extinguished it which led to this state.”

Chu Feng was afraid of the consequences. Based on the theory of karma, deities used the special technique to refine other spirits to evolve in their previous years and harmed the balance of the world. In their later years, they would have too many strange matters in their bodies and it wouldn’t be unexpected if a divine ghost appeared!

Based on the theory of evolution, since this god had absorbed the Divinity Granules and Ancestral Daoist matters of other living beings into his body in those days, they gradually dispersed in their later years and were no longer fused together as an integral whole. Rather, they violently surged and an ineffable biological electrical reaction occurred which gave rise to the abnormal changes.

“On the whole, he doesn’t have the body of a god now, but rather it is a strange body that can’t be touched nor provoked!” Chu Feng was on the alert. He was fortunate enough to see the later years of a god.

On the whole, dying in this kind of manner was somewhat lamentable as a god of a world. It was too miserable too without someone sending them off or burying them.

Even if he was extremely glorious in his previous life and everyone in the whole world was eulogising his name, it was slightly somewhat pitiful for him to be so desperate and in such a decaying state after he died.

Wisps of Yang qi emerged from the dried up earth one after the other. This world was as silent as the dead; there were no plants and no other life forms either.

Chu Feng set off once more. Not too long after that, he saw an incomplete corpse that once belonged to a woman.

Unfortunately, this female god had also died very tragically. The small remaining half of her body was in tatters and there were evident traces of the millstone crushing over her before she finally died here.

There was some blue blood all around her; it was also divine blood.

Chu Feng simply probed her corpse. Sure enough, grey mist also rose from the corpse that had the slight scent of decay and from within the blood. The grey mist could corrode soul light and it had a great amount of strange energy matter in it too.

“What a pity. Goddesses of their generation will ultimately die in such an indecent manner.”

At this moment, Chu Feng sighed with sorrow. Even if you were a gargantuan hero and a peerless beauty unmatched in your generation, you are nothing once you die.

“There is glory and throughs in life, like the rise and fall of tides. My tomorrow comes to mind when I look at how they ended up.” He softly sighed.

For a moment, he thought about what it would be like if his life were to come to an end one day and he walked all the way to the end of life.

Perhaps, he would feel as though life would lose all its original meaning when the time came and such so-called “glory” was nothing more than a pile of ashes that held no value whatsoever after it was burned as an offering to his dead self.

After that, he exerted himself physically and shook his head as he was thinking too much. He was still alive and was full of youthful energy. There was no need to sink into such declining spirits nor was there a need to think about matters posthumous.

“I’m still young. I’ll just pursue the wonders that belong to me at my present stage,” Chu Feng said to himself. After that, he very shamelessly supplemented that with, “I’m only fourteen and a half years old. This small lotus has just begun to show its tip to the world!”

Chu Feng set off once more. Not too long after that, he discovered three corpses belonging to gods in a row. There were male gods and female gods too, but all of them were in tattered states and were all incomplete corpses whose state of death was a spectacle that was too horrible to endure.

“Those who could endure the crushing of the stone millstone are definitely the strongest lineup amongst the deities!”

Chu Feng previously got a deep understanding on the Vicious Beast Plateau that deities with ordinary strength would die at the millstone right away and practically couldn’t cross over to this place.

Over the endless years, it was very difficult to say exactly how many generations of deities had come out from Vicious Beast Plateau and how many of them had walked on this path.

At the same time, he recalled that the Little Daoist’s black talisman paper could protect his soul light. Didn’t this mean that the so-called talisman paper that was brought out from the first restricted area was incomparably astonishing?

Not a single blade of grass grew on the desolate earth. Yang Qi bubbled up like spring water emerging from the ground as it rose up like vapor.

“Hmm?” All of a sudden, Chu Feng discovered a sheet of radiance. It was reflected into the golden symbols in his eyes which caused beams of light to erupt from his Fiery Eyes.

“A group of divine spirits!”

He was very startled because there were ten or so deities at the very least in the stone forest region up ahead. They were blossoming with brilliance as they lay on the ground respectively with brilliant blood.

He was a little rueful. When these deities left their homes in those days in search of a so-called way forward, did it turn into a search for their cemetery in the end?

This world could simply be called God’s Mausoleum Park because it was a grand grave for of the gods.

“Huh?!” After Chu Feng entered the stone forest, this was the first time he had an extremely pleasant surprise. There was a stunned look across his whole face as he was excited to the point where he was in high spirits.

Before some of the deities died in the stone forest, they carved their last words into those boulders. They were heartfelt words that they had left behind while they were on their deathbeds, but there were also... the inheritances of the special techniques!

Chu Feng and the rest had already learned the written language of this world after being on the Vicious Beast Plateau for such a long time. It was now being put to good use.

These people belonged to different ages and wenre’t gods from the same period.

Chu Feng roughly ran his eyes over the area. At the very least, six deities had left behind special techniques to be inherited; all of which were unrivalled secret techniques during their respective glorious times.

Chu Feng was stunned because this really was an unexpected reward and it was a violent shock to his mind. He couldn’t couldn’t get the marquis’ special technique, much less that of the deity’s on Vicious Beast Plateau.

But now, the whole place was filled with the inheritance of gods!
