Chapter 204 Plan B

Upon entering the dome, Kyle felt a sudden influx of energy sweeping through him.

This energy was filled with information, causing him to stiffen as his perception of the surroundings began to change.

Without actually knowing, let alone understanding what was going on, Kyle was able to sense where the owners of treasures were located within the dome.

From the looks of it, this seemed to have something to do with the influx of the energy that provided him with a variety of information.

These pieces of information included the location of the treasures that had been picked up by someone and the rough time when they had been spotted.

Kyle felt that the latter was quite helpful for now.

At the same time, it was quite burdensome because the main focus was bound to be on those participants of the Brawl that had only a short countdown left.

Nobody was willing to give up on their own treasures, and the same could be said about the treasures that didn\'t even belong to them.

Letting others get their hands on something they ought to possess was something most of the participants didn\'t accept.

As such, the Brawl was comparable to children fighting against each other because they wanted to play with the exact same toy.

The only difference was that the fights were much bloodier than expected with numerous corpses littering the ground.

This irked the spectators of the Brawl the most as the three parties had invested a lot in order to give their youngest generation the chance to make use of the huge opportunity of procuring a mutated Licara flower seed.

However, what nobody had expected was the fact that more than half of the participants would get killed in a single day.

The childish game of everybody wanting to snatch their favorite toy didn\'t seem amusing anymore as a bloodbath had ensued.

In the end, this meant that roughly two thousand beings of every single side had died.

Even if the youngest generation were not to be strong prodigies, but above-average talents this would have been painful.

Yet, the fact that nearly every single one of the corpses belonged to a prodigy of their race made their heart ache.

It made the three sides wonder if the gains were truly worth the death of their prodigies they had painstakingly nurtured.

Answering this was certainly not simple, and one could only say whether it was a totally wasted effort, causing tremendous losses or if the Brawl would end in a profit owing to the final result.

Until now, not a single treasure had left the dome, and even the lowest countdown was at around six hours.

This was quite a long time, but interestingly, the treasure that had the lowest countdown was, in fact, a mutated Licara flower seed.

As such, the moment Kyle heard a loud commotion from a particular direction, he knew almost instantaneously that many groups had gathered around the holder of one Licara flower seed.

Shaking his head, Kyle was disappointed with most of the prodigies who had been too full of themselves.

From the way the entire situation looked, picking up the Spatial rings of the deceased might as well bring him more benefits than trying to collect even a single treasure.

However, on second thought, Kyle knew that too many eyes were glued to the dome, watching everything intently.

Thus, it would be quite obvious if he were to take something out of the spatial rings of the deceased.

With that in mind, Kyle figured that he should be a little bit more patient.

After all, it would be even worse if he were to attract unnecessary attention as it would affect the time once he left the dome too.

Handing over the treasures he had obtained from the dome to Sven was possible, but doing the same with the goods he were to transfer from the spatial rings of the deceased was certainly not that simple.

Because of that, Kyle focused on procuring a treasure rather than gaining momentary gains with the resources of the deceased.

While he was calmly walking through the Sadorla forest\'s center, Kyle\'s eyes were trained on the hues of the beings that were the closest to him.

There was not a single beast within the dome.

This made it much easier for him to differentiate the hues of the unmoving trees to the thousands of humanoid beings that rushed through the surrounding area as if they had been stung by a bee.

Everyone seemed rather restless, and after analyzing the situation from within the dome, the tactic of most groups became clear to his eyes.

While the most powerful group had decided to procure, at least, one treasure and protect it no matter what, most of the other groups had decided to prevent others from acquiring a treasure, let alone allowing them to finish the countdown.

Owing to this realization, Kyle quickly understood that most groups with the strongest hues barely moved, knowing that they would require all their power in order to protect the treasure they had obtained.

Meanwhile, the weaker groups moved briskly, using up their entire energy to prevent their opponents from gaining an advantage.

Yet, despite trying to save their energy, even the strongest prodigies were unable to face an onslaught of more than a hundred opponents.

At least, not without being injured, and having their energy being drained rapidly!

However, all of this made it only more obvious that it was important for Kyle to act passively for now.

He had to wait for the best possible timing before acting on his plan.

This would happen once everyone would be utterly exhausted, and unable to fight against someone like him.

Kyle was certainly not the strongest right now, but that was not necessary.

After all, he could make use of his Nurture ability to see when he would be attacked, and by whom as the distance of the closest opponents was unveiled to him.

Following that Arashi could be considered his secret weapon, while the Devouring tree seedling was his hidden trump card.

Given all of his advantages and the thorough preparations he had made, Kyle thought of multiple plans to take into consideration.

Yet, all of them were destined to fail when he witnessed the fight of three peak Vitae stage prodigies from the Aldra race, teaming up with two Blood Nasga that were radiating overly dense blood mist.

Upon gazing at it intently, he realized that it moved similar to Beatrice\'s blood hue, and was acting as a means of protection.

All of them were fighting against a single Lohar, which astonished Kyle as the Lohar was not even holding a treasure.

Despite that, the prodigies of the Aldra and Nasga race were actively targeting a silver-furred Lohar.

Their main attention was on her, and they didn\'t even notice the fact that Kyle had appeared in their surrounding.

It took him no time while observing the battle to notice that the Lohar was at a disadvantage.

However, considering that she was fighting against not one but a total of five of the strongest prodigies, Kyle couldn\'t help but think that she was quite extraordinary.

She also had a unique type of light affinity as an elemental affinity seed, and an additional trait, which Kyle was able to perceive owing to his Nurture ability.

Nevertheless, despite her high strength, and combat proficiency, the situation was clearly to her disadvantage.

\'It wouldn\'t be bad to have a plan B on how to enter the Lahin kingdom, right?\'

Talking to himself in his mind, Kyle put together a plan.

At the same time, the five prodigies were pushing back the Lohar, whose facial features were oddly similar to someone he knew from the past.

However, after giving it another thought it seemed impossible.

As such, he shook his head, while witnessing the six combatants raining blows one after another on the girl.

The silver furred Lohar received numerous injuries, but all of them were rather shallow.

Still, they were enough to make Kyle wonder if plan B was even something he could apply.

But it was just at this moment that something about the Lohar changed, and her entire body revealed a kind of strength that had been hidden deep within her.

Kyle\'s Nurture ability detected that her life force was quickly being drained, making him frown as he saw how fast the Lohar had suddenly become.

Her speed had received a major boost, allowing her to kill the three Aldra prodigies with a smooth movement.

This caused Kyle\'s eyes to widen, only to see that the Lohar\'s speed decreased drastically afterward.

It was barely enough to take care of one Blood Nasga, whom she cut in half.

Her strength had decreased drastically as well by the time she reached the last opponent.

Thus, the last Blood Nasga was not overwhelmed by the sudden increase in her strength.

In fact, he had punched into her abdomen, using his quick reflexes to follow up, before emerging in front of the Lohar that had used up her entire energy in order to overwhelm all of her opponents at once.

Unfortunately, she had grossly miscalculated the remaining energy she was left with which was barely negligible to allow her to attack her opponents.

As such, she ended up on the ground while the Blood Nasga walked towards her, and looked down at her with a hideous smile.

"Alice, Star of Lahin, DIE FOR ME!" Just as the injured Nasga shouted out the last few words, he lifted his razor-sharp claws that were enveloped in dense blood mist and formed a crude replica of clawed gloves.

Yet, moments after Alice, the Lohar, had closed her eyes while she lay on the ground, severely injured and too exhausted to move a single inch, she felt a gust of wind brush past her. It slowly pulling her several meters over the ground before hot blood splattered on her face.

She didn\'t feel an additional injury, but expected this to be the case because her entire body was already too numb to sense anything.

However, even after a few seconds had passed nothing changed.

Alice simply awaited her death and waited for her breathing to stop but today was not her day to die.

As she lay motionless, she felt the touch of a calm hand on her forehead as a soothing feeling spread through her entire being.

It invigorated her, allowing Alice to open her eyes.

At this moment she made eye contact with a robed man, whose emerald eyes were fixated on her wounds.

Kyle\'s mask had fallen to the ground when he had used all the energy he could muster in order to kill the Nasga that had nearly killed Alice.

A total of five of the strongest prodigies of the Aldra and Nasga race had ganged up against her, yet she was still alive.

In fact, she had killed four of the five opponents but had been unsuccessful in deflecting the attacks of the last one.

This was a great feature, considering that all of the five opponents had been the strongest prodigies of their generation.

As such, Kyle had felt the need to help her out.

He didn\'t feel any pity for Alice, none at all.

In fact, Kyle simply wanted her and the Lahin kingdom to owe him a favor.

Knowing that the spectators in the surrounding had seen him assassinating the Blood Nasga, and thereby prevented Alice\'s death, Kyle\'s reputation in the Lahin kingdom was bound to improve significantly.

Following that he tended to her wounds, and revealed his face with a light smile lightly as she tried to push herself away from him.

"I\'m not an Aldra, don\'t worry too much."

Even if his race didn\'t really matter in the given situation, it was only normal for Alice to be wary of Kyle owing to his appearance.

She had first presumed that he wanted to do something to her and harm her.

Yet, this thought vanished quickly as Kyle had invigorated her instead of attacking her when she was at her weakest.

Nevertheless, Alice was sure of the fact that the robed man that leaned over her was not simply being kind and generous.

However, this was quite obvious, and something Alice had to accept owing to the fact that he had rescued her.

Thus, while lying on the ground, and still unable to move properly, she could only raise her head to look him in the eye and ask.

"What do you want from me?!"

Seeing her reaction that showed how suspicious Alice was of him, Kyle could only smile as he lectured her.

"Why don\'t you thank me first? This would make the situation less awkward."

Lifting his hand, he couldn\'t help but ruffle the silver furred Lohar\'s hair gently, which caused Alice to stiffen.

Kyle felt like he was talking to one of his students from his past life.

As such, he didn\'t even realize that the woman in front of him was older than his physical body was.

"Let\'s not talk about wants and needs. Can you move?"

From looking at her with a kind smile that most scholars would give students whom they loved to teach, he turned serious.

Kyle\'s understanding of the situation was crystal clear.

Yet, when he had seen Alice for the first time, she felt oddly familiar to him.

However, in the end, it were just her facial features that made him recall a student from his past life.

He thought that this might make him sad, but the exact opposite was the case.

It had been quite some time since he had thought about his past life that intently, and seeing Alice, her facial features, and her demeanor, he knew that she was a replica of his students\' countless eons ago!

\'Is she a reincarnation without memories, or is this just a coincidence?\'
