Chapter 228: Sharing Problem
After confirming their deaths, Shane issued his instructions.
"We\'re done here! Lily and Elsa, please help me make a path so I can loot the Zombies." Shane said to the two with Wood and Water Element Affinity.
The two immediately nodded and swiftly went to work to make a path for Shane.
"The others should take a rest since the last Zombie Horde will come soon… We should expect a strong Zombie Horde…" Shane reminded.
After a few seconds, Lily and Elsa informed Shane that the path had been made…
"The bridge will only last for 5 minutes." Lily reminded.
"That\'s more than enough." Shane replied as he saw how the wooden bridge could fit a single person, and it was connected to all the Survivor Zombies in the swamp.
"Great…"
Without any more hesitation, he immediately looted the 50 Survivor Zombies…
Of course, it was finally his time to use the new function he obtained from the system after reaching level 25.
It was the Auto Loot Function!
Soon, Shane started looting the Survivor Zombies…
[ You have looted 8 Survivor Zombies ]
[ You have earned 480 Experience Points. ]
[ You have earned 8 Reputation Points. ]
[ Loots obtained: Item Upgrade Crystal x16, Zombie Cores x16, 4L Water, Bread x40, Lockpicking Skill, Mining Skill, Electric Shock Skill, Sword Dash Skill, Shield Bash Skill, Taunt Skill, Firearm Mastery Skill Fishing Skill, Stealthy Breath Talent, Telekinesis Talent, Shadow Mover Talent, Enhanced Hearing Talent, Great Instinct Talent, Treasure Seeker Talent, Appraiser Talent, Sword Master Talent ]
"This…" Shane was surprised to see the massive loot. It was quite difficult to process them.
\'Should I remove the Traceless Breath now?\' He mused.
He also noticed that he had only looted 8 Survivor Zombies since his Auto-Loot Function could only cover 5 meter in radius… He still had to get closer, and he did just that.
[ You have looted 12 Survivor Zombies ]
[ You have earned 720 Experience Points. ]
[ You have earned 12 Reputation Points. ]
"This is quite a lot to process…" Shane muttered.
He saw the several Skills and Talents that were looted once again and the questions related to having his current talent removed to accommodate the new ones.
However, he ignored these messages for now as he decided to check them carefully later. After all, they might be better than his current Traceless Breath and Aura Master Talent. He doesn\'t want to just reject all the Talents and miss a great one.
Soon, he realized that there were 6 Survivor Zombies that he could not loot with his Auto-Loot Function.
Because of this, he knew that they were killed by Raze and the others.
He immediately called them and allowed them to loot these 6 Zombies. He didn\'t mind it at all, although he would lose 360 Experience Points.
Then, as Shane meticulously surveyed the items he looted that were now in his Inventory, a sudden sense of unease washed over him as Lucas\' rang the bell!
He then shouted an urgent warning to everyone!
"An approaching horde of zombies! Please return to the estate\'s perimeter now!" Lucas\' voice rang out, a note of urgency could be felt from his words as he continuously sounded the bell that could alarm throughout the estate.
"Mhmm?"
Perplexed by the unexpected turn of events, Shane furrowed his brow in contemplation.
"Is this the final Zombie Horde? It\'s arriving sooner than I anticipated…" He pondered aloud, as he knew that not even 5 minutes had passed.
However, he soon realized what was going on after Lucas continued with his report.
"Three fleeing Survivors are leading the Zombie Wave straight to us," he declared, his voice tinged with urgency and dread as he relayed the ominous news to Shane.
With this confirmation, Shane wasted no time in issuing his command.
"Shoot the three Survivors! We cannot let them reach our walls…" Shane ordered.
Lucas felt a bit surprised, but Shane was right.
He immediately realized that Shane hoped to disrupt the impending clash of the Zombies against them. By targeting the fleeing Survivors before they could bring their undead companions any closer, they were hoping that the Zombie Horde would also disperse and leave them alone!
"I\'m on it…" Lucas muttered as he aimed at the Survivors with his rifle…
Bang!
As the sound of gunfire echoed through the estate grounds, one of the fleeing Survivors fell!
It made the two hesitate for a moment and, perhaps, go to a different area… However, it was only for a moment as they decided to charge to their estate still!
It seemed that they wanted to truly bring harm to their estate!
Bang! Bang!
Lucas continued shooting the two, and he was successful…
Soon, the Zombies chasing them immediately jumped at their corpses and ate them completely! They didn\'t leave behind any human flesh to give it a chance of becoming a Zombie at all!
At this time, Shane and the members of the Eclipse Revenant had already returned to the estate.
"Are they still coming?" Shane muttered as he stood at the rampart and saw the scene… After the Zombies ate the three people they were chasing, they actually turned their attention to their estate and started moving forward!
Just like that, a new Zombie Horde had to be eliminated!
Despite their efforts, the undead tide marched towards the estate!
"Ugh… They really brought us some problems…" Shane complained as he could only curse those three Survivors in his mind.
The approaching horde soon came into view as the defenders of the estate returned to their position.
The Zombies Horde they were facing now had about 300 Cryptic Crawler Zombies, 200 Zombie Wolves, and 5 Crypt Crawler Leaders at the very back.
Shane and his comrades braced themselves once again for another battle!
