Chapter 58 Scavengers
Chapter 58 Scavengers
As Shane finished making another wooden cup, he received a few notifications about the free experience points and realized that Gene had probably encountered some problems in the forest. \'Not bad…\' Shane smiled as he confirmed that Gene was indeed strong enough to deal with Low-Tier Zombies that he left in that area. To be honest, he thought of following them and using his Binoculars to observe them secretly. However, he realized that he had to trust Gene right now, especially after he showed such an amazing performance yesterday.
Anyway, Shane didn\'t mind having them loot these Zombies since he also wanted Gene to gain experience and increase his level of skills.
After all, it would be reassuring to have another skilled individual in this shelter. There was no way he would shoulder all the difficult battles from now on.
\'He got a decent sword anyway… I\'m sure he\'ll be fine. Ahh—\'
Shane then recalled that he also hadn\'t checked his Survivor Store yet. \'Please give me something new…\' Shane thought as he soon saw the six items in the Store.

It can be used by the user to sleep with a good bed quality, and to store some items under or over it. It also provides some resistance to noise and cold, reducing the disturbance and increasing the recovery when asleep.

"Wait… What? Crusher Zombies?" Shane was stunned for a moment as he realized once again that items have been giving him clues for the future Zombies.
\'They already hinted the Flasher Zombie… Now it\'s a Crusher Zombie… This is interesting… I wonder what kind of items they will drop.\' Shane mused. He didn\'t dislike the fact that these items provided him with some information. As a matter of fact, he was thankful for this since he could make preparations to deal with them.
Nonetheless, he was curious whether this Flasher Zombie and Crusher Zombie were Mid-Tier or High-Tier Zombies.
He then continued to check the other three items.

After some thought, Shane decided to purchase 1 Single Size Bed, 1 Anvil, 2 Backpacks, 1 Cast Iron Skillet, and 1 Tier 1 Hunter Jacket.
It wasn\'t difficult to stumble upon clothing in the Survivor Store, so he knew that he should take them once they appeared.
In the end, he spent a total of 130 Zombie Cores. It was quite a lot, and he would certainly fail to do this if he didn\'t have the Complete Loot Talent with him.
Then, as he thought of setting up the bed so the others could use it, Cloud suddenly issued a warning. [ Intruder Alert! ] [ Two adult human males have entered your territory! ] Nôv(el)B\\\\jnn
"Damn… Show me their location. And how did they get here so fast? Your detection should be about 100 meters already," Shane said as he grabbed his revolver without delay. [ The detection failed to notice them in time due to the stealth capabilities of the targets. Be careful. ] ***
The two intruders were Jenkins and Marcus, a pair of scavengers who roamed the continent in search of valuable items. They both had Rare Talents that helped them in their job. Jenkins had Traceless Breath, which allowed him to conceal his presence and avoid detection. Marcus, on the other hand, has Treasure Seeker, which enables him to sense and locate any hidden treasure or rare items. They had been working together for a long time, and they had amassed a lot of wealth and resources. However, none of these things are essential when facing Zombies.
"Brother Jenkins… Now that we\'ve gotten near, I can confirm that the treasure is in that Church… Should we wait at night before we take it?" Marcus asked while also looking at the surroundings.
They could tell that this place was being used as a shelter. However, the two of them are on an important mission, and they couldn\'t back off just because there were people here.
"It\'s too late to retreat. We\'ve been detected… I will stop using my Traceless Breath. Don\'t act rashly...." Jenkins said as he looked at the handsome young man that was approaching them.
